OC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator  to support a soil remediation project. The incumbent will perform all duties of a standard heavy equipment operator, a Class A CDL is desired and three to five years minimum experience required.  Equipment operated for this project will include, front-end loaders, dump trucks, and excavators.  Must be reliable, dependable, safety sensitive, have the ability to take direction and complete tasks as efficiently as possible. The duty station is Unalaska, Alaska.  The season will be from late April through the end of July and employees will work twelve (12) hours per day six (6) days per week. The schedule may vary based on logistics, project progress, and weather.

The Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) received a grant in the amount of $35.1 million on behalf of 73 Tribes, ANCs, and Tribal organizations. The grant is intended to reduce barriers to broadband usage among Alaska Natives by providing broadband-enabled devices, subsidizing broadband service, and implementing digital skills and workforce training for each Shareholder household. Additionally, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration just announced another grant opportunity to bring broadband and computer equipment to communities through its Digital Equity Program.
