The Ounalashka Corporation is actively recruiting to fill the position of Property and Leasing Assistant, preferably based in Unalaska.  The Property and Leasing Assistant will report to the Property & Leasing Manager and is responsible for drafting commercial leases, maintaining the leasing files and database, monitoring leases for compliance and serving in a support capacity to Property and Leasing Department.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a High School Diploma and will demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) as well as general administrative skills including typing and filing.

This position will assist with providing regular monitoring and special reports of the following for all commercial and short-term leases and a series of monthly status reports, of which requires proficient computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and ability to learn Solomon and other software programs.

Assisting with residential lease termination, maintaining up to date property database files are among the key functions of this position. To perform these functions, it is critical that the candidate have the ability and demonstrated experience to pay close attention to details and have excellent follow-up procedural skills.

This position prepares documentation to tenant and will often serve as an additional contact person for tenant assistance (apartments and residential) and requests for service and coordinate with Operations Manager for necessary repairs. Therefore, processing good communication (both written on verbal) skills is required.

Knowledge of property and leasing procedures, legal procedures, and of Ounalashka Corporation is preferred but not required.

Must have or have the ability to obtain and retain a valid Alaska Driver’s License before starting work as well as possess and maintain a good driving record free of any DUI or other major driving infractions.
