Shayla is the newest Director on the Ounalashka Corporation (OC) Board of Directors. Her current term expires in 2026. She has worked for the Qawalangin Tribe since 2016 and is currently serving as the Tribe’s Resilience Project Manager. She has also worked as the Lead Intern and Camp Director for Camp Qungaayux on behalf of the Qawalangin Tribe. Shayla is the current Board Chair for the Museum of the Aleutians and previously served as Vice Chair from 2020-2021. Shayla studied at Western Washington University, attended many Foraker Group Board trainings, and has completed courses in Grant writing and GIS.
