Raised in Unalaska, Denise M. Rankin is an original shareholder of the Ounalashka Corporation (OC) and is an enrolled member of the Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska. Denise started working for OC in 1997 as the Property & Leasing Manager. In February 2022, Denise was promoted to President.
Denise is a former President for the Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska, and has served as Secretary Treasurer for Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association, Trustee for Aleutian Pribilof Islands Restitution Trust, Treasurer of the Unalaska Holy Ascension of our Lord Cathedral, and as a board member of Iliuliuk Family and Health Services, Inc., Unalaska Chamber of Commerce, and the Museum of the Aleutians. As a board member for these organizations, Denise sat on several committees and participated in board trainings and strategic planning sessions.
