Natalie A. Cale

CEO, COO, General Counsel

Natalie A. Cale first began representing the Ounalashka Corporation (OC) as outside legal counsel in 2001. In 2019, Ms. Cale was hired by the Board of Directors as OC’s General Counsel. Shortly after, Ms. Cale also became OC’s Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Cale officially became OC’s Chief Executive Officer in 2023.

While employed at OC, Ms. Cale was successful in getting OC Environmental Services, LLC, certified as an 8(a) company. OCE has been awarded three Federal contracts to date and intends to seek additional awards in the remaining 5 ½ years of its certification. Ms. Cale also assisted OC in receiving one of only three EPA ANCSA clean-up grants and a $2 Million Brownfields Assessment Grant. Ms. Cale has also been involved with the Makushin Geothermal Project since its inception in 2019 and sits on the OCCP Board.

Ms. Cale is passionate about getting OC’s lands cleaned up, hosted the Secretary of Interior, Deb Haaland, at her Anchorage office with more than 20 other Native Corporation leaders, and was instrumental in getting Senator Murkowski to hold a Senate Field Hearing in Unalaska to bring attention to the numerous contamination issues around Alaska.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Ms. Cale moved to Anchorage one day after graduating from Law School and has called Alaska home ever since. Ms. Cale and her husband have twin daughters that attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
